Girls Not Brides: The Global Partnership to End Child Marriage brings together over 1,400 civil society organizations from over 100 countries around the world committed to ending child marriage and enabling girls to fulfil their potential, bringing unprecedented global attention to the issue of child marriage. In a joint infographic with Girls Not Brides, WORLD’s data on global child marriage laws helped to make the argument for better child marriage laws and spotlight areas of improvement needed in child marriage laws to on-the-ground advocates around the world.
In Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, at the Girls Not Brides Global Meeting— the largest global meeting of its kind — WORLD co-hosted a workshop with Save the Children UK and Equal Measures 2030 to showcase how data tools can be powerful in the hands of local activists working to end child marriage.
In response to feedback from Girls Not Brides, WORLD produced legislative text of child marriage laws to support on-the-ground advocacy of their global partnership network.
