The International Disability Alliance (IDA) is an alliance of 14 global and regional organizations of persons with disabilities. They advocate at the United Nations for a more inclusive global environment for everyone. They bring together over 1,100 organizations of persons with disabilities and their families from across eight global and six regional networks to promote and support work to hold governments to account, and advocate for change locally, nationally and internationally. WORLD has collaborated with the IDA to reach their thousands of members through online organizing tools and newsletters, and WORLD collaborated with IDA’s leadership to hold a regional two-way knowledge exchange workshop in Quito, Ecuador featuring policymakers and civil society leaders from across Latin America.
