Is there a specific exception that allows girls under 18 to be married when they are pregnant or have given birth to a child?

This map tells us whether girls can be legally married at a younger age than the general legal minimum if they are pregnant or have already given birth to a child.

This variable includes cases where, in addition to pregnancy and/or birth of a child, legislation requires parental consent and/or court approval to permit early marriage.
