WORLD regularly submits alternative reports to the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultura Rights (ICESCR). In these reports, we detail the legal and/or constitutional landscape in the country vis à vis the commitments it has made under the Covenant, propose questions for the Committee to ask the countries during the review process, and suggest concluding observations that the Committee include in its post-review report to each country.
In these reports, we focus on topics fundamendal to economic and social rights. Topics in our reports have included equality and non-discrimination in constitutions, non-discrimination in work and employment, free and compulsory education, and child marriage.
