Rural Outreach Africa (ROA) works with rural communities in Africa to secure their integration into the continent’s positive growth and development. Founded by Professor Ruth On’iongo, ROA is a grassroots organization comprised of a network of over 100,000 smallholder farmers and 160 primary schools in a participatory development model.
In collaboration with Professor Edith Mukudi Omwami at the UCLA School of Education and Information Studies, WORLD has been thrilled to support ROA’s powerful grassroots programs by supporting program evaluation and exploring how to improve service delivery and build capacity for ROA’s work in communities on education, nutrition, hunger alleviation, and gender equality.
